As the premier stone tooling supplier in the industry, BBI is committed to customer delight and everything we can do to support you, our fabricator partner. We continue to invest into resources to do this with things like; more technical support for CNC and inline, new product development, experienced sales staff across the country, a great website, and as of October 4th a brand-new ERP to help make us even more efficient.
I am sure every business has felt the cost increases on everything from material cost, labor, freight, fuel, and just about anything else you can think of. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the overall inflation rate is at 5.4% through September, with things like energy up 25% and we’ve seen container freight increase over 300% from a year ago. We at BBI are committed to being the lowest list price in the industry, and have fought diligently to mitigate every increase possible. Throughout the year, we have been forced to react with some direct product increases as we received them from vendors but unfortunately, have continued to receive even more product increases from our suppliers, and can no longer hold off on a general price increase. Most products are increasing an overall average of 3%. There are some products with larger increases, some that won’t change at all, and some products that we were able to actually lower through this process.
As your partner, it is important to us that we are upfront and transparent to let you know what to expect in this increase and when. This increase will be going into effect as of Monday November 1st, which does give you a little time to stock up and beat the increase. We truly appreciate your partnership and business through these crazy times and are excited to continue growing with you.
